Men's League
The Men's Thursday evening competition is a member favorite. The league season kicks off on the first Thursday in April and continues play every Thursday thereafter until we run out of daylight in late October. Forty-Eight men are paired each week in a best ball format. After the round, fellow competitors gather in the bar for drinks, scoring and results.
Omega Golf
Yes, Omega stands for "Old Men Enjoying Golf Association." And that is what they do best. The group has continued to grow year after year. They truly enjoy their time playing at River Run and traveling to other host clubs around the Charlotte area. The series consists of six home and away matches followed by a year-end event. Great fun is had by all.
Ladies' Golf Association
The LGA has been very influential in the organization of the ladies' golf program, ladies' socials and gatherings at the club. The LGA golf season traditionally begins in March by offering a series of complimentary golf clinics which are held each Wednesday. Starting in April, the LGA begins its formal golf with their play days on Thursdays. They host several golf and social events each year. Their major golf events, such as their Member-Member and Member-Guest, are always great fun and well attended. The ladies interclub team competes each year against other clubs in the Lake Norman area. If you like the thrill of competition, this format is for you.
Starting in April each year, one of our more popular women’s events takes place weekly. This group is called LEGS (Ladies Evening Golf Social) and they are a group of non-competitive golfers who just enjoy one another’s company both during their 9 holes of golf and afterwards while enjoying a bite to eat and a drink together.
